We kindly ask our visitors to please wait for confirmation before arrival!

We are open for visitors and volunteers from the beginning of April until the end of October.
Aurora is a community free of drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
If you wish to visit/volunteer, please contact us at least with 1 week in advance and ALWAYS wait for confirmation, so we can provide the best conditions for your stay.

Accommodation is in personal tents. Please let us know in advance if you need one. We can provide you a tent, with the extra daily cost of 2 Eur/9 Ron.

An opportunity to get in contact with Aurora Community. Join the daily activities or simply enjoy and appreciate Nature. For those who want to support the project for a short period of time. All visitors are invited to join the daily activities and participate in collective house tasks (cooking meals, cleaning, maintenance, etc.).

The rhythm is flexible and determined by the weather conditions.

For those who want to to support the project and and experience Aurora Community life for a short period of time.

Work 6 hours per day, 6 days a week. Sundays off.

Tasks include gardening and construction. You will also participate in collective house tasks (cooking meals, cleaning, maintenance, etc.)

Contribution by donation Daily contribution:

Weekly contribution:

We ask for a 35 Eur / 155 Ron weekly contribution to share bills, buy food products and do maintenance in our community structures.

Monthly contribution:

We ask for a 100 Eur / 450 Ron monthly contribution to share bills, buy food products and do maintenance in our community structures.

Food
The diet is vegetarian/vegan/raw and the food is mainly local and organic. If you have any food restriction, please contact us in advance. We don’t serve coffee but we have black tea available! If you get desperate you can always walk to the local village!

Facilities
You will find in place 2 dry toilets, 2 showers, sinks and current water from a pure water spring. Facilities for washing clothes can be found on place and a washing machine can be used for heavier clothes and by donation. Also electricity from the grid at 220, Internet and 3G connection (just in some areas of the venue) are available.

Children
Parents should be responsible for their child’s safety and behavior during the stay.
It is up to the courtesy of the parents to make a donation for their food.

Pets
Please take note that 1 dog, 2 cats and many bees are part of our family, if you are allergic this can be a little difficult! Pets are permitted under the condition that they are on a leash.

HOW TO ARRIVE
Aurora Community is located approximately 50km South from Hunedoara, Romania.

Flight/Train/Bus connections from all Europe:
– lowcost fligths (easyjet, ryanair, wizz), via Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu and Timisoara.
– Train/Bus (Eurolines), via Deva.

From Deva to Hunedoara:
– by bus – daily, every 15min

From Hunedoara to Lunca Cernii:
– by bus – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
– by taxi (95 RON that is +/- 25 EUR)

WHAT TO BRING
– camping tent
– sleeping bag and personal items.
– a mat for sleeping in the tent.
– flashlight. Candles are prohibited as the fire risk is high!
– comfortable warm clothes for evenings and nights.
– eco-friendly shampoos, soaps and toothpaste to minimize the impact on the environment.
– towels
– hat to protect from the sunlight
